Nicolas Guérin / Philip Seymour Hoffman

The French photographer Nicolas Guérin captures legendary figures of the film world through his art. After studying philosophy and film at Paris-Sorbonne University, he taught himself photography, inspired by the work of other photographers.

For more than twenty years he followed the major film festivals Berlin, Cannes and Venice, working for the prestigious magazine Positif. Over the years he has portrayed renowned figures such as Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Tilda Swinton, Nicole Kidman and Clint Eastwood.

His photographs have been exhibited internationally, from the Palais des Festivals in Cannes to the Yokohama Cinema Festival. He has also published several books, mentored young photographers, and continues to explore the beauty of cinema and photography.
